Happy May Day!

May 1st is one of my favorite days of the year. I love the beginning of a new month and I love spring but these aren't the reasons this day is so special to me. Every May 1st for the past several years I spend the morning with a couple of my dearest friends. We talk and arrange flowers while babies nap and toddlers watch cartoons. It's so fun and very relaxing.

This year we made little hand bouquets using grocery store flowers and everyone's favorite dotted kraft paper from Target. We tied up our bunches with yarn, divvied them up and made deliveries to friends and neighbors.

I hope you've had a lovely day too. It's May! Hooray!

    1. I wish it was a more celebrated tradition in the United States, Colleen. I think it would do us a lot of good to think of others more often.
