It's hard to believe but summer 2013 has already slipped through my fingers. I sent four of my children back to school this morning with backpacks full of supplies and happy hearts. Sunday night we had our annual Back to School Feast where Ryan and I unveiled our theme for the new school year. "Try a little harder to be a little better" is one of my favorite quotes from Gordon B. Hinckley and felt right for our family this year. Life can sometimes be discouraging but all that is asked of us each and every day is to try harder than the day before. I wanted our children to know that perfection is not expected and is not attainable in this life. But trying harder? We can all do that.
I immediately thought our new school year theme would look great as one of these darling chalk art prints from Caravan. I have loved every little thing that has emerged from Caravan from the moment they opened shop. The chalk art, the Olliblocks, it's all so good! I emailed my friend Melanie Burk who is one part of the amazing Caravan trio to see if she wanted to collaborate on the print and happily, she did! You can head over to Caravan right now and download your very own Be A Little Better Print for free. And because you're all so very lovely and deserve one more back to school treat, Melanie has generously offered 20% off the entire Caravan Shoppe from now until Friday 8/30.
