Craft Camp 2013 | Day Two | DIY Hand Carved Stamps.

On day two of craft camp the girls made hand carved rubber stamps then used them to embellish greeting cards.

To begin I gave each of the girls two pieces of rubber. They then drew a heart and a triangle using a pencil.

Next each girl used a carving tool to cut the rubber away from the drawn shapes.

This craft took a little patience because you want to slowly peel away the rubber from the shape. If you're not careful it's easy to pull a larger chunk than you intended.

When the rubber shapes were carved the girls hot glued them to cork stoppers.

The girls left will a stack of hand made greeting cards and the stamps they created.

Here's what we used to create our stamps if you'd like to make some too:
Speedball Speedy-Carve Block One of these blocks was more than enough for 20 craft campers.
Speedball Linozip Safety Cutter
Cork Stoppers- Found at my local Michael's Craft Store
