Back in the spring Ryan and I made a pact to try a little harder on our date nights. It's been fun to secretly plan activities and enjoy time together sans children. On Friday, instead of catching the latest action movie (which is what we've been doing the last month or so...) we decided to take the boat out for a ride. Ryan was in charge of getting the boat in the water and I was in charge of dinner. I picked up our favorite pizza and some cold Izze and met him at the boat launch.
The weather was warm and the water was just perfect. After we ate we picked up some friends on a nearby dock and chatted while watching the sunset.
In the two summers we've had our boat this was the first time we had it on the water without the children. We won't be waiting that long until our next adult only voyage. That's a promise.

Perfect night
ReplyDeleteIt's so great you manage to find time for date night (especially with 5 kiddos!). I love this. :)
ReplyDeleteBoat dates are the best. We recently moved closer to where we go out on the boat so we go more often now. So fun! Glad you guys enjoyed yourselves =)
