Lincoln City, Oregon.

In case you didn't already know, children are happiest at the beach. The waves, the sand, it's all pretty magical. Especially through the eyes of a child. We recently took our brood to the beaches along the Oregon coast and while the water could have been warmer, the sun was shining, the wind was calm and the sand provided hours upon hours of entertainment.

One thing everyone keeps talking about was how funny it was to see the four youngest buried up to their heads in the sand. Ryan and Easton convinced them it was a good idea and they loved it! Pretty sure we're still trying to get the sand out of their hair...

We had such a happy week. I was nearly convinced to pack it all up and buy a beach house. Who's with me?

  1. So glad you got nice weather! My husband interviewed for a job in Lincoln City before we moved to Oregon. It was the middle of August, but Lincoln City was cold and windy. Needless to say, we did NOT take that job!

  5. I'm reading this in a beach house on the opposite side of the country... and I've wondered more than once what it would be like to live here. :)

And yes, beaches are magical, and the ocean is always so mesmerizing. I could stand in the waves all day...

  8. I love those sand pictures. By the way baby powder is a beach bag necessity. A good dowsing of it over the body and the sand just comes right off.

  9. We've often wondered if we should move to the beach, and lincoln city is a favorite of ours. Our oldest is autistic but when she's at the beach she's like a different kid. At ease, comfortable, it's a magical thing!
