Finding Balance.

Every so often I receive emails that ask questions like "How do you do it all?" which make me laugh and cause me to think at the same time. As I strive to fulfill my roles as a wife + mother and nurture the desire in me to grow, learn and progress a balancing act ensues. Some days I think to myself, "today has been good!" while others I take a look at my baby and realize his hair is out of control and looks more like a she than a him. Obviously I don't do it all. No one does. We're all trying to strike the balance. We're all trying to figure it out.

This month I'm teaching an online class on the Alt Channel titled "Part Time Blogger, Full Time Mother-How To Maintain A Healthy Work/Life Balance." In the class I'll be sharing how a typical day works as I mother my children and meet deadlines. I would love if you would join me! Class size is limited so sign up quick, I promise to make it worth your time.

  4. I cried so hard when Mitch's long golden curls were cut off (he had been mistaken for a girl - so it was far past due- it was the eyelashes as much as the hair though really.) I digress... I was sobbing so hard when I called Leon at work he thought something terrible had happened and he was none too happy with me when he found it was just me cutting Mitch's hair. I can see Oliver made a huge transformation too from baby to "little man." I think he likes the look. What a handsome little bugger!! Lady killer for sure. The neighborhood is just not the same without your little ones buzzing about.

  7. He is darling! This is such a fascinating topic to me because balance is not attainable, yet we all strive for it. I agree. No one does it all. Personally, I just try to take it one day at a time & whatever doesn't get done, there is always tomorrow. :)

  10. This is a topic we have discussed many times. It's always a challenge to find that balance of staying on top of our duties as wife and mother, while still maintaining that part of ourselves that's just for us. This is one of the reasons I love blogging is because it gives me some time to think about MY thoughts, what I want to share, and spend a little time taking care of ME.

    I love this topic.

  15. I've thought (and probably penned) the same thoughts...no one does it all. We are always giving up something, by choosing to do something else. But that can be hard to remember!

p.s. you really do seem to do it all though :)
