How To Wrap A Gift.

Four years ago I shared a tutorial on how to wrap a gift. Since then, my gift wrapping method hasn't changed but the posting capabilities we now enjoy on blogs has. Pictures are BIGGER and it's possible to add video. I decided it would be nice to make a little gift wrapping video since oftentimes it's easier to learn from watching someone complete a task rather than just following along a string of photos.

I'm by no means a professional vlogger but I hope you enjoy it anyway, friends. Perhaps it will make wrapping those piles of gifts a bit easier this season.

Love the video! If that twist of ribbon on the bottom of the package makes you crazy (I hate when the box is all wobbly!), then you might want to convert to my new ribbon-tying strategy.... I described it here: http://dancingcommas.blogspot.com/2011/12/tied-up-with-bows.html

Awesome! I've always wondered how people make their gifts look so pretty and mine .. well they just don't! But maybe this Christmas they will :)

Good job on the video! And of course your gift looks lovely. I have no problems wrapping a gift, but I definitely need a tutorial on how to tie a ribbon bow. My bows always end up with the tails going in opposite directions -- i.e., one tail is coming out the top of the bow. Any tips?

Also, JJB's link above? Brilliant.

I have to tell you, your little trick of smoothing out the edges is so smart. I had never even thought of it before you did the wrapping class for our Super Saturday (wasn't that so long ago? ;)

Loved the video!

Sweet little video! How did your points line up so perfectly? Great editing, lighting, & graphics. And I could almost hear those heavy scissors cutting through the ribbon. :)

My mom was a "professional wrapper" during college. so she taught us how to wrap. Her presents never show the tape. It's amazing.
