Inspired By:

The Parent Trap.

I've been spending some time getting ready for Craft Camp and have found myself terribly inspired by The Parent Trap. This movie was a summer staple in my home growing up and I'm continuing the tradition with my own children. The scenes from Camp Inch where Susan and Sharon first discover one another have been in my brain all week. I love the colors of the girls camp uniforms, the canoes, teepees, and that "Bless Our Broken Home" sign from the very beginning of the movie. There are also banners made of feathers that I can't seem to forget either.

All of the above images are from Design Sponge's "Living In" feature which is completely wonderful.

I grew up being crazy in love with the Parent Trap! It may have had something to do with my name being Susan—but still—such a fun show for girls!

Its a great source for inspiration.

I grew up watching The Parent Trap and other Hayley Mills movies like Summer Magic, Pollyanna and The Moon-Spinners. I love them all! I really need to buy them so I can do like you are and continue that tradition with my family!

I lived for any and all Hayley Mills movies when I was a little girl. Especially The Parent Trap and Pollyanna.

Now you've got me wanting to pull it off the shelf and spend the afternoon reminiscing.

I can't wait to see what you've come up with for your Craft Camp!

If I am not mistaken Kashan Casper lives in the town in New Hampshire where Parent Trap was filmed. How cool is that?

I know Lily just told me how excited she is for craft camp to start tomorrow.

You are such a wonderful memory maker!

Catching up with Miss Mills has now made my summer to-do list. Hopefully my 6 1/2 year old will appreciate it with me!
