What's In Your Makeup Bag?
Spring is the perfect time to take inventory of your makeup bag. Decide what's working, what not and possibly discover some new favorite products + colors. The lovely Hannah of Sherbert Blossom has just started a new series that gives readers a peek inside bloggers makeup bags. It's so fun to see what products + brands others swear by!
I shared the contents of my makeup drawer (I don't use a bag unless I'm traveling) last week with Hannah and her readers. Although my makeup regimen is pretty basic there are a few things I would hate to live without.
p.s. I took a little trip to the makeup counter this past weekend and updated my blush + lip color for spring. I'm currently loving Bobbi Brown blush in "Nectar" and "Golden Nectar" shimmer lip gloss. Do you have any favorite colors/products I should know about? I'm currently on the hunt for a great moisturizer, what's your favorite?

ReplyDeleteI love HOPE in a Jar. It is the best moisturizer I've found of late. I think Oprah likes it too...so that definitely makes it worth trying, huh?!

I love that the makeup you use totally matches the style of your blog & you you are, if that makes any sense, hehe. I've never used Bobbi Brown, I switch between diorshow & makeupforever mascara - they're both pretty good :) I don't use too much face product.. But I also need an update!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for being a guest on my blog!! Loved having you and love your suggestions.
ReplyDeleteIt's not fancy but I really like the Oil of Olay Daily Moisturizer with the SPF in it. I wear it all year long because even in the winter, I want to protect my face.
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge fan of Olay Regenerist moisturizer...I'm sure that makes me pretty low brow to some but the feel, weight and smell of it are all perfect for me. And at that price point, how can you not give it a try?
ReplyDeleteIm a sucker for bobbi brown! If you like their makeup, you will fall head over heels for this skin care. My favorite moisturizer is actually " vitamin rich" from bobbi. It smells like an orange creamsicle and works wonders. Or anything from origins is wonderful
ReplyDeleteAs a girl who has worked in cosmetics for a few years and tried abouy 500 different products, take my word for it and try out bobbi browns skin care line! :)
I love, love, love the gel blush sticks from Tarte. I use Tickled, or Tickled Peach (they changed the name and I can never remember which one is current!). And as far as moisturizers go, I use the Oil of Olay Daily Moisturizer with SPF for Sensitive Skin. It looks like I'm not the only Oil of Olay fan commenting today!!
ReplyDeleteI too am an Olay lover. For me, it's the perfect amount of moisture without being overly greasy. And like Karen, I just love the smell! It reminds me of my grandmother.
ReplyDeleteI also love HOPE in a Jar and use the oil-free version. It seems to last forever, isn't overly expensive, and makes my skin look fresh but not oily.
ReplyDeletewow...nice ones...
ReplyDeletei will go with just kohl and gloss! :)

I'm more fond of concealers than compact powders. Can you suggest a good brand for me? I have dry skin.
