If you've read this blog for even the shortest amount of time you know how much I love tiny details. For me, it really is the extra touches that make things special. You can imagine how happy I was when Abby and I walked up the stairs to Justin's studio for our 30 Strangers shoot to find this waiting for us:
It was the perfect indication of what the afternoon would be like. Meeting Justin Hackworth was exactly what I expected it to be. He is as kind and personable as I had imagined. Sitting down on his big blue couch and answering his questions felt like visiting with an old friend. He asked about my children, where I grew up, and how I met Ryan. He asked Abby what book she was currently reading and if she wanted to be a Veterinarian. We were completely at ease. And that's when he started taking pictures. The shoot was so casual, it was easy to forget he was actually working. He would say "look out the window, tilt your chin up, do your parent's live nearby?" and I would answer his question and not really notice that he was shooting away the entire time. A master, I tell you.
When it was all over and we were heading out to leave we saw this:
Lovely. The grin on Abigail's darling face didn't wear off for hours. She was beaming and I reveled in her glow.
