PROJECT: craft-Spring Edition.

At our very first PROJECT: craft-Spring Edition meeting Lindsay and I decided we wanted two things: lots of white with pops of color and chalkboard elements. To achieve this we kept the decor simple. White tablecloths + hanging white ribbon (inspired by this amazing shoot in Rue on page 60).

For centerpieces we planted wheat grass in cans and made magnets from the same wood buttons we used on our last ticket pouches. I love how the shiny metal cans reflect all of the white.

We felt very fortunate to have the opportunity again to use Greenies as our location. It's an amazing space filled with the prettiest cruiser bikes you've ever seen, kayaks, and my favorite shoes-TOMS! If you're ever in the area, Greenies in a must see. Greenies shopgirl, Jenn is one of the nicest people you'll meet too.

For name tags we painted simple wood cards with chalkboard paint, wrote the attendees names in chalk and attached pinbacks to each one.

As the attendees arrived, they received their name tags and a little card with questions to answer about themselves.

For pops of color we placed bright yarn balls around the space.

Lindsay's husband created this amazing chalkboard that we used to display the giveaway items.

The wonderful shops that donated items to PROJECT: craft-Spring Edition were:

Paulova- the freshest little ceramics you've seen.
Wee Waldorf- my favorite wooden toys.
Freshly Picked- your baby NEEDS a pair of Freshly Picked Moccasins.
Almost Sunday- This print was highly coveted during PROJECT:craft.
Annily Green-I could fill the cozy brick house with Annie's creations.
Charm Design- you need a new spring clutch, right?
Cozy Blue- I adore moleskine journals.
Vintage Oddity- Kersey creates the coolest jewelry.
Spread the Love- I wanted this print to come home with me. I LOVE it!
Leah Duncan- The colors in Leah's work are so soothing + beautiful.
Sass + Peril- Amazing quality screen printed products.
Gussy Sews- the cutest ruffled headbands.
Allora Handmade- I can't get over the quality of Jessica's pieces. So pretty + well made.
Morris + Essex- a pack of these notecards will make you happy.
Elise Joy- happy, motivational prints.
Betsy Whynn- These foldover clutches are incredible!
Silvermade- awesome handstamped jewlery.
Wendy + Peter- I've seen a lot of felt hairbows in my day but these, THESE are my favorite!
Twig Creative- a husband and wife duo that can do no wrong.
Crystal B- I could own one of everything in Crystal's shop.
Funky Vintage Lovely- charming jewelry that will get you tons of compliments!
Simply Basic Designs- Sweetest knits out there. You have to check out this shop.

Do yourself a favor and check out the links above. I can personally vouch for every single one of these shops. They create lovely items and are genuinely kind people.

Each attendee received a craft kit with all the supplies to create a fabric necklace. The necklaces were very simple to make and left everyone with plenty of time to work on the projects they brought from home.

When the night was over everyone left with a goodie bag full of cards from all the lovely shops that donated the giveaway items, a spring in a can, and a delicious cupcake donated by one of our attendees, Paloma of Sweet P Cakery. Check her out here, the cupcakes were divine!

All photos were taken by Tiffany Wilcox of You Look Nice Today Photography. Also, if you're into digital scrapbooking, you have to check out Tiffany's shop Fresh Memories. She creates the prettiest patterns I've seen.
