Handmade Weddings.

Ryan and I have been married for 12 years and still, every time I find myself in a bookstore I always manage to sneak a peek at the bridal magazines and books. They're full of inspiring ideas that can be adapted to any kind of gathering, great or small.

It's been out for awhile but one of my latest faves is Handmade Weddings by Eunice Moyle, Sabrina Moyle + Shana Faust. I've been pouring over it's pages since I purchased it. Not only are the photographs by Joseph De Leo beautiful to look at but the projects are so simple + clever.

A lot of the projects in Handmade Weddings can be used for gift giving too. I'm thinking this embroidery hoop craft could be adapted for a Mother's Day gift.

And these chalkboard painted table numbers have me thinking teacher gifts.

What about you? Where do you find party/gift giving inspiration?

  1. I get so many ideas from blogs like yours. I finally got on the list for pinterest because I can't keep track of them all.

  2. I'm with you, I can't get enough of wedding design inspiration. And of course I'm addicted to Pinterest. And your blog. :)

  3. I'm with the other girls, definitely inspired by blogs, even those that aren't directly related to parties or events. And from things I find at craft stores or on etsy that are too cute not to plan a party around:)

  4. my husband & i just got married about 10 months ago & every time i see new ideas i want to have a wedding all over again! lately i've been wanting to make those cross stich circle things, whatever they're called, that you have in this post.. SOOO cute. xox

  5. ohhh that is a nice book.. I will have to search it out since i am so much closesr to having kids who will be getting married than I ever dreamed of... time goes by so fast!

I have been saving ideas for years with my daughter in mind.. she will be simple and funky.. I know it will be a blast.

  6. That book is beautiful! I am also still enamoured with wedding things. I had so much fun planning and styling my wedding, I want to do again and again (but just with my sweetie).`
