Christmas Thoughts.

Friends, are you allowing yourselves to think Christmas thoughts? I am. In fact, if you were to knock on our door Sunday evening you may have heard Christmas tunes streaming through the cozy brick house. I just couldn't help myself. I wrote out my big list Friday night after the children were tucked into their beds and spent much of Saturday sitting in front of the computer searching and shopping. We are continuing our Want, Need, Wear, Read tradition which forces me to think very intentionally about the gifts we give.

Oliver's treats have all been purchased and are on their way.  I can hardly wait to wrap them up! Two of my favorite blogs, Seesaw + My Happy Little Life both recently posted about this pretty wrapping DIY from another favorite blog, Style Me Pretty. My packages won't look exactly like these beauties, but the images have given me tons of inspiration.

I think a trip to the thrift store in search of an old ivory sweater is in order.

p.s A sweet anonymous commenter asked about the possibility of Want, Need, Wear, Read tags making an appearance in the shop. No worries, they are on their way.

  3. I LOVE this idea of Want. Need. Wear. Read. I have been in some serious need of focus and restrictions where my daughter is concerned this Christmas, and this is fabulous. I think it makes great sense for hubby and I, too. Thank you for sharing it. It shall be our new tradition. :o)

  4. We too do the four gifts. I love how it sets expectations all the way around. I can't wait to see what you do with that cream sweater.

  5. I love the gold and ivory combination of that wrapping. So pretty!

We're big fans of Want, Need, Wear, Read here too, thanks to you! I think this will be our 3rd (maybe 4th?) year doing it, and our kids love it and look forward to it!

  7. When I discovered your blog last year it was the first time I heard of WNWR and I loved it. We are doing it this year and it makes you put more thought into your gifts, keeps gifts to a min. and helps keep the focus on what Christmas is really all about! Love it!!!
