Family Night Work Party.

Did you know you can have fun and work hard at the same time?

You can.

And we did.

Children who know the value of hard work are few and far between these days.  I'm bound and determined to teach my children that anything worth having is worth working hard for.
Our family garden should help with this, no?

Two garden boxes down, two to go.

I couldn't agree with you more. Kids need to know how to work, and it definitely can be fun! Good for you! We did a couple garden boxes this year too--we're hoping something will grow :)

Perfect! When you're done with that, you can come teach my kids, cause I don't think they know what the word means.

We had the missionaries over for dinner last night and had a discussion with them about the value of teaching a child to work.

Your children will enjoy the blessing of their hard work when they are eating up all those fresh veggies this summer!

totally agree. Wondering if you are planning on doing a little tutorial on how to make the raised garden boxes. We are planning on making 4 or 5 and don't know where to begin.

i still carry the sweetest memories of weeding our family's garden- i hated those rows upon rows of those stinking bean plants, lol. but looking back- just joy.
