Friendship Bracelet Valentines.

Last Friday Ryan + the boys went up to the church to play a little basketball in the gym.  While they were away, Abby and I figured it would be a good time to search online for some valentine inspiration.  I'd remembered this post from last year and decided to show it to Abby to see what she thought about it.  She loved the idea of making little gifts for her classmates.



In all, Abby and I made 25 friendship bracelets.  I helped make the boy bracelets (10) while Abby focused on the 15 girl bracelets.  She finished them all in about an hour and a half.  A little Friday night and a little Saturday morning + afternoon.


We kept the pattern simple by using a basic braid.  Then, we fancied them up a bit with a sweet card + punched holes to lace the bracelets through.


What I wouldn't give to see her face as she hands them to each of her friends. 

I just might sneak in to their little party...

Oh, in case you were wondering, I used this 2.5 inch scalloped edge paper punch to cut the circles out.

  24. I came across your blog doing a search for camp crafts. Did you save this on your computer? I would love to use it and change it to say "camp" would knot be the same with out you.
    I am pretty clueless as far as how to make this stuff.

  27. I just found this on Pinterest and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! My daughter is in 6th grade this year so no V-Day party, but I know she'll want to give her few closest friends a little something. These are perfect....and the little note, totally adorable! And I'm thinking you could easily adapt the saying to include other holidays:

    These would make a great B-day party favor and you could just change "class" to "birthday party."

    We used to cut out hearts and write a Scripture verse on it and punch a hole and add a string for a necklace. Kids loved them.

  61. Hi Dandee, I love this idea. We are so doing this. I need some help though. I went to find the punch and the one I got seems to be a tad small. I believe it is 2in and not 2.5. How did you create the cards so maybe I can replicate only smaller OR do you happen to have a version a bit smaller. I love your ideas!!! It is really great for those of us who love to do but lack the creative thought!!!!

  67. Thank you so much! I'm a teacher and I'm going to make these for my class, right away! I just laser printed them in black and white onto cardstock and then I'm painting them with a wash of colour. I'm so glad that I procrastinated on my valentines :)
