New Year, New Decade.

{scanned photo of me and baby easton circa 2000. and yes, I'm wearing overalls.}

It's a new year. A new decade! I've been feeling contemplative since I pulled out my pretty new calendars on Friday. Ten years ago I was living in my first (tiny) home. I was preparing to birth my first babe. I was getting ready to celebrate my first wedding anniversary. I was on the brink of the happiest days of my life + I didn't even know it. And look what has happened! Five babies, four houses, same wonderful husband. I'm happier than I ever thought possible. I have everything (and more) than I allowed myself to hope for as a small child when the world was so big and anything seemed possible. I love my life. And I can't wait to see what the next decade holds for me and all of my dear ones living + loving inside this cozy brick house.

Welcome twenty-ten.

  6. oh crumbs. loved overalls. still love overalls. am i really a decade behind with overalls i wonder? there's just something so carefree about them. slouchy, yes. but in them anything & everything seems conquerable. many great blessings have come in the last decade. a few heartaches & lost loved ones. but all in all not the end of the world by any means. we laughed a lot. loved a lot. learned a lot. sounds like a success to me. hope this year's as wonderful as it promises to be. i've got a feeling 2010 will be my year of hope (and maybe hope fulfilled). gotta hunch 2010-2020 will be a decade of miracles. can't wait to behold them all...just praying that my grasp with the Savior is firm enough that i'll be able to withstand whatever's headed my family's way...that way i'll last long enough to witnesses the mighty miracles of change to come. exciting. almost breathless in anticipation. hugs!

    Third, I have loved knowing you for the past 10 years and I am so glad that we have been able to get know eachother even better over the last 2 or 3 years. You are a wonderful friend and set such a great example to all who know you.
