Brinner.

Some days, making dinner bites. Especially days when the baby is sick and wants to be held and won't let me put him down to. save. my. life. On those kinds of days, when 5:00 rolls around and people start asking about dinner, I make an executive decision and prepare Brinner. Which is Breakfast foods for Dinner. Sometimes it's pancakes. Sometimes waffles. Some days we eat eggs + toast and hash browns [yum!]. But it's always delicious, fast and easy. Which is the best kind of dinner after all, no?

Does your family ever eat Brinner?

Sometimes pancakes just taste better at night. We have Brinner from time to time and love it!

Yes! We make Chilaquiles. They are scrambled eggs, green and red salsa, and cheese with pan fried tortilla strips on top. Yum!!

i would eat brinner ever single night if my meat and potatoes husband would let us. i was raised on a rotating dinner schedule of scrambled eggs and toast, pancakes, oatmeal and toast, and, occaisionally, spagetti. a dinner of oatmeal and brown sugar and toast for dipping? ultimate comfort food.

We have brinner at least once a week. I grew up on it and my kids love it but my husband??? not so much. He's never impressed because it's too light for his meat and potatoes appetite. Now if we did the pancakes PLUS the eggs, sausage, and hash browns then he would be happy but in my opinion that's just too much!

Yep, we are huge fans over here. I think it sometimes tastes better at night because I usually don't feel like those big heavy breakfasts first thing in the morning.

Oh Yeh! We usually only have cereal and toast for breakfast, so brinner works here because it's considered a treat when we have waffles or pancakes.

uh yeah probably a little too much...

Sometimes I wish we could do it every night. You have more time to prepare and enjoy than in the morning.

I'm not a big breakfast eater in the morning, so I like to do it for dinner once in a while. Our family's favorite is french toast.

I so wish my husband would go for this. He doesn't like the idea AT ALL. I, on the other hand, grew up in a house that used this trick all the time. He's Welsh - that's the only thing I can think of...I guess Brits just don't get it. sigh.

Yup. And some days, like today, after we spent almost 6 hours completely recleaning the new house (after a week of painting and getting the rugs cleaned) we have ice cream sundaes from the shoppe on the way home. :) (I did make them scrambled eggs for snack later).
