3:58

This is where I was standing at 3:58. It's been a busy, busy Tuesday. There was the morning drop off to school. A trip to the post office with 2 very large packages, an even larger pregnant belly and a waddling 17- month old. Then, off to Fed-Ex. 20 minutes later a doctor's appointment telling me "we'll see ya' next week." And then to McD's for a lighting fast lunch so I could make it in time to meet Ryan at the school for the children's conferences. When I finally got home Miss Audrey was in desperate need of a nap and frankly, so was I. When nap time was over I made my way to the kitchen to tackle our morning dishes. The smoothies and oatmeal that my dear husband treated us to a few short hours ago are now caked to their respective plates/mugs. I am a person who tries to NEVER have dishes left in the sink, but it's just been that kind of day. Once the dishes are complete, I'll dust. And do a quick sweep of the wood floor. Oh, and then I'll put the bath towels in the wash. I'm obsessive about the house staying spic n' span for the arrival of this babe who I fear is getting a little too comfy in his current residence. That lovely sun streaming through the windows is making it all more bearable.

What were you doing at 3:58?

  2. Oh, you have my deepest sympathies... Smoothie and Oatmeal cement are among the worst possible caked-on substances to have to remove from dishes!

But the sunshine!! The sunshine is great, right???

  3. I was dropping off the neighborhood scouts at Yoke's for a field trip. My dishes were done but that's about it for the day! Having my kinder home in the morning is throwing me off my mark. Well, that and the flu bug that refuses to vacate my body...:)

  4. I feel your pain. From the dishes, to the Dr. appts., to the Parent Teacher Conferences, to the aching back, and being 9 months pregnant. I can't wait to hear when you have that baby. I'm so on the countdown, so I'm sure you are too. Good Luck!

  10. I was watching my 7 yo's dance class through one way window while I chatted with the other moms. It was a nice break after the hours of hands-on activites we had done all day.

  12. Ummm, I'm pretty sure yesterday at 3:58 I was washing dishes and listening to Ethan whine about his sore mouth. I promptly gave him medicine to silence the moaning.

  13. I was wondering why my 11 month old has only taken a 20 minute morning nap and was now refusing to go down for an afternoon nap. . . by the way, he never did take that nap. But he did sleep 12 hours last night.

  14. same as most everyday at 3:58pm...working.

I'd rather be washing dishes. seriously.

but not napping. I'm a mean "waker-upper" from a nap and my family has requested I never take another. :)

  15. I was taking a hot bath. I know. It does sound strange, but I could not get warm for some reason, and a bath was the only cure!

  16. I was on the computer typing up codes for Cub Scout Day Camp. I think it was just that kind of day for everyone! Branson had allergy testing on his back (not fun) and from there I went to all three of the kids conferences so I think we had a very similar day.

  18. making handmade party hats for my mom's centerpiece for her ward's R.S. birthday dinner! she needed them by 5:00....nothing like working fast under pressure. I set them atop my cakeplates through some little vintage streamers on them and viola....a centerpiece!

and tossing my clothes in the drier for the 5th time....aaagh.
