Advent Calendar.

Do you ever get an idea for a project and completely obsess over it until it's complete? Me too. That's exactly what's happened with this sweet advent calendar. I saw something similar to this in a catalog and wanted to make my own version right away. Now that it's complete, the next step: fill each stocking with some treats for the children to discover throughout the coming month.

I used this template for the stockings. You know, just in case you want to make one too.

It looks SO good! I'd say it was definitely worth all the work. I love that kind of work though. I'm sure your kids will love finding a surprise each day. And your fireplace is beautiful. So cozy!

Very cute! I made some similar to these when my kids were little and hung them down the banister. I painted wooden stars with gold paint, numbered them with a sharpie, and glued them on the stocking.I put a little Christmas candy for each one inside, and even as teenagers, they still love to take out the treats each day.
