I have been waiting and waiting and waiting to feel the swirly little movements of this babe inside my belly. Finally...it has happened. This sweet little one has taken it's time. I'm not sure if this has any indication towards the new personality, or if I'm just so busy I haven't slowed down to sit and ponder and feel... but in any case, it has happened and I am so thrilled [and relieved]. I can recall feeling all of the other children around 14 weeks. Nearing 20 I have to admit, I was getting scared.
All of this movement has also made me a little baby obsessed. I fell in love with a few names last night as I lay in bed and meditated the meaning of this new life. I won't share them now, because I'm sure I will hate them all before the day is through, but my brain won't stop...girl or boy...where will it sleep...will it look like any of the other children...how will they react...will Audrey be walking when the wee one arrives...please let Audrey be walking when the wee one arrives. See, I told you. In any case, next week is the big ultrasound. I am looking forward to seeing the beating heart, all of the major organs, and Ryan is looking forward to finding out if this will be another girl or boy. He will keep his secret until delivery day...because I love a good surprise.

ReplyDeleteCute bump! When are you due? I am just at 20 weeks myself. Happy day! :)
ReplyDeleteI would not be able to let my husband find out if I wasn't too. I'm too much of a planner, or a worry wort, I'm not sure which. Baby bumps are so cute!
ReplyDeleteYour belly is so cute. And I can't believe you are almost 20 weeks. That is crazy.
ReplyDeleteThat does it. I am thinking of a bribe to get Ryan to tell me and only me. I can keep a secret like nobody's business and I want to KNOW!!!
ReplyDeleteIf there is any family that should have lots and lots of babies, it's yours. You and Ryan are wonderful parents to your beautiful children.
ReplyDeleteHalf way...so exciting!
ReplyDeleteI didn't feel my baby move until around 23 weeks. Now he won't stop moving!
