Pumpkin Bread Recipe.

I am in no way claiming this little treasure as my own. Dear Aunt Phyllis, one of the uber-talented matriarchs of our family, listed this recipe in her famous cook book. I have received a few emails and calls requesting it, so here you are friends.

Pumpkin Nut Bread
3 C. Sugar
5 C. Flour
1 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Cloves
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. All Spice
4 tsp. Soda
3 1/2 C. Pumpkin [one large can]
1 C. Oil

Mix all ingredients well. Add raisins or nuts if you desire [I don't.] Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Yum Yum!

  2. I have a pumpkin bread recipe that I use...it is fool proof. It turns out great every time! I'll have to compare notes and see how similar they are.

  3. I love it, thanks for sharing! I just made pumpkin muffins, and have to say they were not a huge hit after the first day (the sugar topping made them a little moist/soggy on top). But this bread looks like it will hold up better. I'll definitely give it a try - yum!
