Getting Caught Up.

Two weeks. Has it really been that long since I cut my hand? The stitches are now out, but because the wound was not fully healed, I'm still bandaged up. Hopefully within the next few days I can ditch the ace bandage and feel comfortable getting my hand wet. Until then, I feel like I have a million things to catch up on. My dear husband has been quite the Mr. Mom. He is ALWAYS a huge help and great support, but he has gone above and beyond these past two weeks. Today, I feel compelled to dust, vacuum, rotate some laundry and be useful again. I have to admit, the first few days of this ordeal was a welcomed break. I sat on the couch [with my arm elevated] and watched the food network like no body's business. I took long [much needed] naps. But then... I GOT RESTLESS! I am in awe of the many simple tasks that are pretty much impossible to accomplish one handed. Opening a jar of Audrey's baby food? Not gonna happen. [I tired for 15 minutes one afternoon.] Folding laundry? Nope. Cleaning? Uh uh. It feels so good to be back to [mostly] normal.

I also have lots of fun things to catch this little blog up on. The first being Mr. Owen's first day of preschool. Doesn't that face look so happy and excited? He loves Miss Molly and I love that he has something to look forward to that's just for him.

This week: I am in the throws of planning Owen's 4th birthday bash. The invitations were hand delivered to all of his favorite friends yesterday. Check back tomorrow to see how they turned out.

Happy Tuesday friends!
It's so good to be back!

  1. Glad you are back! I know you are more than ready to be crafty again. Hard to be creative with one functioning hand.

  3. It's good to have you back, I've missed your posts! Even better that it means your hand is healed and things are getting back to normal. Nothing like an injury or illness to make you appreciate a strong, healthy body...even if it does mean you have to clean and do laundry!
