Five Things

::Five things I love about me::

::My nose. I feel a sense of accomplishment in saying this. My entire life I have despised this part of me. Ever since that fateful summer afternoon when I was playing catcher in a neighborhood baseball game. That day, my very own sister whacked me in the face with a metal bat trying to hit a home run. I have learned over time that this is one of the things that makes me, me. I really do love my nose.

::My teeth. They are straight without ever having had braces and I think that's pretty cool.

::Freckles. I have freckles all over and I love them. I love that my biggest boy has inherited this trait from me. I love that every summer I can count on them to darken and blend together.

::I love being a brunette. Some people wish to be blond, but I never have. I love that I have dark hair, light skin, and hazel eyes.

::My clavicle. Is that a weird thing to love about yourself? I have a really pretty clavicle and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Ryan loves it too.

I was prompted to compile this list by this dear girl. Read what she loves about herself here and take the challenge for yourself. It's fun.

  3. Can I say one thing....supermodels!!!! You and Audrey both. What an amazing picture! Thanks for sharing your list, it's important to love who you are and feel blessed for the things you have. To often in life people forget this and spend most of their time looking at the negative.

  5. Every single thing is true! You are beautiful Danyelle. One of my favorite things about your outward beauty is the amazing contrast between your hair and your eyes.

I've never heard the story about your nose meeting your sister's bat before. Ouch!!

Oh yeah, I will say how LUCKY you are to never have needed braces! Spencer was the same way...maybe our kids WILL get lucky! Oh who am I kidding? The ortho is going to be getting lots of mullah from this family!

  7. From day 1, I admired your nose. I have always wanted a pointy nose, and you have that. The grass is always greener...

A few of your thoughts are the same as mine about myself. When I get up the nerve to do this, it is totally gonna look like I am copying you!

  11. You are beautiful! This is a gorgeous picture of you, too! You do have very beautiful features and I love all the same things about you that you pointed out! Although, I'd have to get a closer look at that clavicle. You only like one clavicle? Don't you have 2 that you admire? :)

  13. I really enjoyed reading your list, Danyelle. I think as women, in general, we are very hard on ourselves so it is refreshing to read the things that love about yourself. I know everyone's already commented on the picture, but it really is a beautiful picture.

  21. I just found something else we have in common! I too have had nose issues until a close encounter with a softball. Then my nose got really huge, and after it went back to normal, it didn't seem so bad. Loved this post! I have always wanted freckles - love yours - sooo cute! You are beautiful inside and out!
