[Audrey enjoying her first plane ride. She was perfect!]
There's nothing like coming home after a week away. Ryan and the children met Audrey and I at the airport yesterday afternoon. Owen and Easton were holding little signs that said "Audrey" and "mommy" just like in the movies. So sweet. We came straight home where I found the house in total order. All the beds were made, the laundry done, and a few larger projects completed. The children and Ryan did a service project for me when I was away. What was it you ask? The storage room. When I left you could hardly get in the door and now it is clean and organized, just the way I like it. I think all mom's should have the opportunity to get away every now and then. It's an amazing refresher and everyone appreciates each other a little more when you get back. Ahhhh.....
Texas was amazing! There are so many fun things to do and see there, a week is just not enough time! We did some shopping, lots of eating, and even more visiting with Kristin's fabulous family. Seriously, people. Her family is THE BEST! And I feel truly blessed to know them.
One of the highlights of the trip for me was getting to know Karen and Toni better. Karen is Kristin's sister and is so nice and genuine, you can't help but love her. She also has three darling girls that she makes the sweetest hair accessories for. She also makes AWESOME baby wipe cases. You can buy them here. Toni is Kristin's sister-in-law. She's married to her HILARIOUS brother Dave, and just happens to be THE BEST PHOTOGRAPHER EVER! Not kidding. Toni had a photo shoot with Miss Audrey and it was so much fun! Audrey was smiling and laughing for Toni more than she does for me! I have never seen a photographer that loves what they do as much as Toni. She got so many great shots, I'm going to have a terrible time deciding which one's to get printed. Wanna see some? Go here. Did I mention that Dave and Toni have three of the most deadly heartbreakers out there? Love them!
Thank you, Kristin for being such a great friend. You are so much fun and I can't wait to take on Dallas again. Next time: No babies!
Have a great Monday!
