This is a great day indeed.
It is more than ironic that I FINALLY post Marshall's birthday tribute today and on this anniversary. I promise I wasn't even thinking about that, in fact, I kind of forgot that today was that day!Happy 10th anniversary! You're one of the best Mormons I know!
This was so neat to read Danyelle. It's amazing to me that at age 17 you were wanting the Spirit in your life and the guidance that it gives. I think of myself, and wonder what it would be like to grow up without the church! I can't imagine getting baptized without my parents, and I am so impressed with converts and their bravery and courage. Thanks for sharing this, and congrats on your 10 years. That is so amazing. Oh and you look exactly the same as you did 10 years ago. How cool is that!?!
I love your story. Happy 10th!!
What a great day to remember! That is awesome that at that age you were seeking something spiritual that you knew was missing from your life. You are a great example of how important converts are to our church. And I agree with Kristen, you look exactly the same. Not fair!
Congrats..what a day to celebrate! I enjoyed reading your conversion story. You set a great example!
I always love to hear other people's conversion stories. My 10 year anniversary is this year too!
crazy the pictures from your baptism. you look the same, but marsh looks like he is eleven. congrats on your bravery. i will always admire you
I love your conversion story! I was amazed at your bravery then, just as much as I am now! And I have to agree with everyone you do look the same!
You don't know me, I stumbled on your blog a while back after seeing a link to yours on a friends blog. I check your blog from time to time because of your cute craft and decorating ideas. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you how much your conversion story touched me. Your faith and testimony amaze me. I think so many of us born into the church take far too much for granted. You, at age 17 were wise beyond your years. I'm just in awe. Thank you so much for sharing your story and I hope you don't mind that I read it.
Thank you all for your kind comments. This is a very special day for me. I am so blessed.Emily, you are welcome anytime. Thank you, for your kindness.
Danyelle! What a beautiful family you have. It has been so long since I have last talked to you! You are so crafty, wow!!Email me if you get a chance, firstname.lastname@example.org. Have a great baptism anniversary, you deserve it.Rosie Torres (Pitcher)
I had no idea that was today. I had to re-read your story...it's so weird hearing it, having been there for the whole thing. It's kind of ironic, because I gave a little mini-talk about your conversion in relief society a few weeks ago, about the blessings I received from it. I'm still receiving them! Happy Anniversary!
How cool is it that ten years later to the month your firstborn is baptized?!
Wow 10 years, congrats on that. I remember when you told it to me forever ago. It is such a blessing to have the gospel. I cannot imagine life without it. I always love seeing new people join the Church and their testimonies grow.
Your baptism was not only powerful in your life, but it touched many people (who filled the chapel of the stake ctr - the youth of the church are so supportive of each other). That was a very special time in our lives and it was very clear to me the first time I met you that you were a very special person, with a clear vision of what you wanted in your life and knew that it all started with the Savior and his gospel. I remember those discussions and how "golden" you truly were. Happy 10 yr anniversary (it seems like yesterday, but obviously from the pictures IT WASN'T). I love you!
