Feeling a little fluky...

I don't have one thing in particular to blog about today. A lot has been brewing in my brain and I just need to get some of it out there...

:: As an insult, Owen calls me "boring" about 10 times a day.

:: I think I may have figured out my ETSY niche. Check the shop Monday to see what I've come up with.

:: I have met a lovely new friend. She is talented and creative and very thoughtful. We had a great play date today. Thank you, for that!

:: Yesterday, while I was searching some favorite blogs, my mother called. We chatted for a few minutes and then she said, "I'll let you go...you're internetting". I think she meant blogging. Did she just make up a new word? Internetting... nice.

:: I am in a cooking rut. Does anyone have any ideas?

:: Remember when I mentioned a blog makeover? It's still in the works, don't give up on me yet.

:: I received some happy mail yesterday. Remember Happy Mail? Well, it was Anthro's January catalog. I know I just celebrated my birthday, and Christmas is over, but I'm pretty sure I need this. And this. And probably this.

:: While on the topic of buying things, my next Target purchase is going to be these. I can't tell you how I love them. You will see the joy on my face when I am wearing them.

:: Check out this amazing photographer! She is my dear, dear friends sister in law. Stay tuned for more fun information on Toni, we have something up our sleeves...

See, I told you I was feeling fluky...

I hope you are having a fabulous day!

  1. I love reading all you have to say....you have a beautiful way of writing even the most random of thoughts. So inspiring!

  2. I love everything you picked from the Anthro catalog and those shoes are soooo cute.

No help here on the cooking issue, I'm in a rut too, but I don't really care. I'm making tacos tonight whether anyone wants them or not!

  3. I've been getting on a soup kick lately. Tonight we had Mexican Soup (see More of Phyllis' Favorite Recipes), and of course Chicken Tortilla soup is always delicious. For a heartier soup I love Cheesy Broccoli Soup, served in homemade bread bowls (I posted a recipe for those on my blog in November.

  4. I haven't cooked in so long, but I love your push pins... so adorable.

  5. ah. you are too sweet. thank you for the great company this morning. love, lindsay
p.s. i'm pretty sure that i need... yes, need that orla kiely bag.
p.p.s. see page 34 of said anthro catalog. where can i find some rustic looking decor like that for my house? also note the daaaaarling flash cards on rope. thought of you when i saw those.

  6. i love random thought blog posts. you see into people's heads a little bit.

  7. Is that "our" lovely Lindsay? How cool is that?

I have been experimenting in the kitchen lately, as winter is the best time for that. I made the most bestest home made mac & cheese a few days ago and I can't devulge the recipe because it might just make me a fat mil someday. I look to magazines and food channel for inspiration and then put my own twist on the bit of inspiration. I don't need to tell you how to do that because you are THE PRO!

  8. I wish I had size 7 feet. More isn't necessarily better when it comes to shoe size girls!
