Cozy Brick House: Almost After.

The house... it's coming along. I am finally beginning to see the light at the end of this very dark and dingy tunnel. My husband is amazing. I know everyone thinks their husbands are hard-working, but mine is a maniac. He hasn't gone to bed before midnight since we moved in and is doing such a fine job, I wish you could all see the detail and craftsmanship he has put into our new home.

Cabinets are in! Very exciting and I love them! I'll post more pictures when the kitchen is farther along. The tile floor is in but we still need grout, back splash, under cabinet lighting, counter tops, light fixtures, appliances...

The bathroom is so close to being completed. All we need to do is prime and paint the wainscoting and trim. Oh, and install the shower curtain and towel bars, but other than that, it's a done deal.

Our new windows are finally in. They look amazing and actually open. Imagine that! Ryan's project after the kitchen is complete is to trim out all the windows.

The shop is built. Needs a coat of paint, electrical and sheet rock, but my husband is one happy man!
As you can see, there is still much to be done, but we feel like we are on the downward slide.

If only there were more hours in the day...

  4. Wow, it looks really great. The bathroom is awesome. I admire people like you, that really like doing home improvement projects like this...hmmm...someday I'll be like that. Or maybe we'll just make enough money that I can hire someone to do it for me. :-) Good luck with the rest of it.

  6. Okay, so you guys have accomplished in a couple of short(but very long to you of course) months, what it takes many people years to do! I am beyond impressed! Everything's looking so great. It's sounding very cliche right now, but I really can't wait to see it all when it's finished!

  13. It is looking so beautiful. I always knew that house had so much potential it just took someone with vision to bring out it's beauty. You are right Ryan is a maniac! I have never seen anyone work so hard so fast. I couldn't believe how fast he put in our floors. It was REALLY hard to convince him that I wanted them IMPREFECT because he is a perfectionist. You are going to have a charming PERFECT home when all is said and done. We love you guys!
