Completed

Here is the mystery project:
a funky mobile
I got my inspiration here. I thought this was one of the most darling mobiles I have seen and knew I had to make one. It's not an exact replica, I decided to use butterflies instead of flowers.
I hand sewed the beads onto the butterflies.

This was quite a lengthy process, but the time went by more quickly when I was watching this.

Thank you Karen, for taking pity on me and loaning me your copy of The Holiday! I loved it and was touched by your thoughtfulness. It's nice having friends like you.
Tomorrow: Family Reunion Rundown
{Oh, and in case you're wondering, the mobile was sold at the reunion auction and went to live in Spokane with the loveliest family.}

  1. That mobile is so beautiful Danyelle. I think I like the butterflies more than the flowers. Your talents never cease to amaze me. You did such a great job!

    As a side note, isn't Jude Law delicious in this movie?

  4. I love it (even better than the pottery barn one)! I was almost positive you were making a mobile when I saw your supplies, but I didn't want to give it away...what did you use for the top? Is it weather stripping?

    Noelle & Lori- I used a die cut machine at our local craft store. I had my three children with me. They were less than pleased, but we survived.
