To The Woman Who Gave Me Life.

Happy Birthday!

Today is my mother's birthday. My Mother and I talk on the phone everyday. Sometimes, multiple times in a day. We both love to sew and create things from beautiful fabric. We both like to learn about new things. We enjoy a good bazaar where other women showcase their talents. We love a good drama. My mother prefers "Lifetime Television for Women" dramas, and I...well, not so much. I like movie dramas. My mother makes the best "home style cooking" I have ever had. Nothing says "comfort food" to me more than something made with love by my mother. My mother worked full time when I was growing up and still cooked a delicious dinner EVERY NIGHT!
{I need to better follow her example.}
My mother loves my daddy and so do I.
My mother is my friend.
Happy birthday dear mother!

p.s. My mother loves James Taylor and so do I.
When I hear his music, it reminds me of my mother and I smile.

  1. Danyelle,
    I'm so happy that you have such a great relationship with your mom. That is so awesome. I wish I lived close to my mom and had the opportunity to have a better relationship. That would be nice! Thanks for sharing! I love the 3 generation picture! It's a great one of all you. Your mom looks so young!

  8. Beautiful picture! Happy Birthday Glenda. I love that you have such a wonderful relationship with your mom. Time passes so quickly, be sure and ask her everything you possibly can and learn as much about her and all the things she knows. I regret so much that I didn't learn more from my mom when she was alive. I think of questions everyday that I could ask her.
