Introducing Josephine Scere.

Introducing the beautiful and talented. . .

Josephine Scere

( Pictured from left to right me, Ryan, Josephine, Ryan's mom Kim, and dad Richard)

On Saturday Ryan and I went to see the BYU Young Ambassadors performance of "Broadway Rhythm" at the Richland Auditorium. The performance was great, but we were really there to see Josephine. You see, Ryan baptized Josephine's mother Yah 10 years ago while serving his mission in Philadelphia. Since Yah's baptism, her daughter Josephine, her son Yeni, and both of her parents have been baptized. In fact Yah's father was ordained a High Priest this past Sunday.

Josephine is now attending BYU and loving it! She has an amazing voice and performed "It Don't Mean a Thing" from "Sophisticated Ladies" at the show. Look for Josephine in the future. She has already come out with two CD's, won BYU Idol, and was prompted by a young admirer at the performance to try out for American Idol. Yeah, she's that good!

  3. What a great story! It must be nice for Ryan to have this experience come full circle. Spencer always wonders what happened to some of the people he baptized on his mission.

Sounds like it was a great show!

  4. That's so cool. I love to think about the chain of people that are now members due to the fact that Ryan baptized Yah. I would have loved to be there, I love awesome performances. I saw Music and Lyrics on Saturday and it totally made me want to go to a concert.

  5. What a cute girl! I wish I had an awesome singing voice. That is one talent I envy in others. Lets put it this way, Simon Cowell would have a field day with me.

  7. A few weeks ago my wife and I saw Josephine in the MDT Showcase at BYU and her singing was absolutely beautiful. She has a voice as fine as any I've ever heard.
